Sometimes a daily proper intimate care is not enough to prevent problems caused by bacterial or fungal infections or by inflammatory conditions. The most common infections are vaginosis and vaginitis, vulvovaginitis caused by Candida, ping pong infections.
Vaginosis and vaginitis The vaginosis occur through discharge; vaginitis are an inflammation state which, in addition to discharge, can result in itching, burning and swelling. Vulvovaginitis caused by Candida This infection occurs in 75% of women and it is caused by a fungus which is normally present in the vagina, when it grows in number in relation to other species. |
Bacterial vaginosis They are caused by bacteria that proliferate too much in the vaginal environment. The most common are Gardnerella vaginalis, Mycoplasma homini, Eubacterioum. Vaginitis caused by Trichomonas This infection is very common and it is caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, a parasite transmitted mainly through sexual intercourse. Ping Pong infections It is very common for the two components of the couple to pass several time the fungus or bacteria responsible of the infection through sexual intercourse resulting in a long sequence of infection phenomena. |
